The Metropolitan Police Department issued an alert on Monday, Sept. 25 advising that a child who was found alone over the weekend has been reunited with her family and is back home safe.

Concerns were raised when the girl was found in the 5300 block of E Street SE late in the afternoon on Saturday and the agency was unable to identify her or her family.

On Monday, the child was reunited with her loved ones, according to the department.

All's well that ends well.
